About Mark

I work with leaders to find the words, actions and presence in some of the most critical moments in business. I helped leaders as Southwest discovered and first defended its culture, when Exxon merged with Mobil, and BP faced the impact of Deep Water Horizon. I helped leaders deal with the tragedy of Sandy Hook, 9/11 and the months leading to, during and after COVID. Today, I continue to help leaders prepare for how people work now and will in the future.

I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a graduate of the Columbia University Coaching Certification Program. Today, I am a Professor in the New York University master’s program in executive coaching and organizational consulting and a Coach and Course leader for the Wharton Executive Education Program in Human Resources.

Recently, I was the Vice President Culture and Internal Executive Coach for Sabre and the Director, Graduate Communications Program and a full-time professor for Baruch College of the City University Of New York. Earlier, as a Managing Principal of Towers Perrin, now Willis Towers Watson, I led the global communication consulting business.

I am a Fellow of IABC, International Association of Business Communicators, as well as a past Chair, accredited business communicator, and winner of 17 international Gold Quill awards for communications. I am also the co-author of two best-selling books about employer brand, Brand from the Inside and Brand for Talent and a frequent speaker to audiences around the world. I am based in Houston and New York City, and reachable anywhere.
